ART!
Web comics!
As soon as I got my first ever bamboo tablet at the age of 12, I have been drawing comics and characters non-stop! Taking inspiration from popular online comic artists like Adam Ellis, Dorkly and Cyanide & Happiness, I have illustrated many comics in my free time, joking about subjects of interest like video games, tv shows, anime and occasionally politics.

A parody comic on the Crash Bandicoot videogame.
A silly pun I thought of, replacing the zombie "walkers" with the walkers crisps brand.

Arts Emergency Comic infomercial!
Near the end of my A Levels I took part in the Arts Emergency, a charity organisation that supports the teaching of creative arts to young artists. The program involves pairing young people with volunteering mentors that possess similar skills, teaching them what they know over the course of a year. Working with a comic artist on developing my illustrative and composition skills, he recommended me for a project that involved designing a 6 panel comic to show exciting opportunities after the completion of the program. This comic was printed in brochures for people to take home with them!
vector art!
Illustrator is a great tool for drawing vectors and block, saturated artwork, something which has gradually formed my aesthetic for all my social networks and portfolio you see today! Some have been printed into physical posters, one of which was printed through Lino printing.
Illustrations!
I draw characters and famous figures both digitally and traditionally. I have used Photoshop, HB Pencils and charcoal to achieve these designs, some of which are annotated for self referencing information that I keep in mind when it comes to developing designs further.
Character bios!
For my Foundation course, I drafted a made-up fictional comic pitch, drawing up three original characters and giving them backstories, dreams, fears and their occupations and ages (though I had a pretty emo mindset back then, so the information makes me cringe!)
Life drawing!
I participated in a life drawing event, where everyone was sat on the floor while a model walked around the room, as we drew them using different materials, time lengths and approaches to the work. I drew the first portrait using a HB pencil for approx. 5 minutes, before shifting to a continuous line using pastels for 3 minutes, 3 overlapping poses in pastels that were 1 minute each and I used thin yellow strips of tape to "draw" the outline of his body. At the end I stuck together different shapes of paper and drew various body parts in both biro and tape
